Job Summary Women Now seeks a passionate AI Specialist to design and deploy artificial intelligence solutions that advance our mission. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities, develop models, and integrate ethical AI tools into programs focused on women’s empowerment, healthcare, and social justice. This role is ideal for a tech-for-good advocate who thrives in leveraging AI to drive social impact. Key Roles and Responsibilities AI Model Development (50%) ● Design and implement AI/ML models to address challenges in women’s healthcare, economic empowerment, and program efficiency. ● Train models using supervised/unsupervised learning techniques, ensuring alignment with ethical AI practices. ● Optimize model performance for accuracy, scalability, and resource constraints. ● Develop tools for data collection, analysis, and visualization to support evidence-based decision-making. Collaboration & Implementation (30%) ● Partner with program teams to identify AI use cases (e.g., predictive analytics for healthcare access, NLP for educational tools). ● Integrate AI solutions into existing systems (e.g., mobile platforms for WASH initiatives) and ensure seamless adoption. ● Conduct workshops to build staff capacity in AI basics and data literacy. Ethics, Monitoring & Compliance (20%) ● Ensure AI solutions adhere to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and WoN’s commitment to bias mitigation and gender equity. ● Monitor deployed models, troubleshoot issues, and refine algorithms for sustained impact. ● Document workflows, code, and model outcomes for transparency and audit readiness. Qualifications & Experience ● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field. ● Proficiency in Python/R and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). ● Experience with NLP, computer vision, or predictive analytics. ● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and data preprocessing tools. ● Knowledge of AI ethics and gender-sensitive design principles. ● Prior volunteer or NGO experience (preferred but not mandatory). Job Summary Women Now (WoN) is seeking a Grants and Partnerships Director to lead and oversee our grants portfolio, ensuring effective management and strategic partnerships. The Director will be responsible for donor compliance, timely reporting, and coordination of the full grant lifecycle, including proposal development. A key aspect of the role is building staff capacity in grants management. Additionally, the Director will cultivate and manage partnerships with donors, international NGOs (INGOs), and local NGOs to enhance collaboration and advance WoN’s mission. Key Roles and Responsibilities. Grants Management (40%) Ensure transparent and compliant grants management in line with WoN’sand donor policies and procedures. Work with program teams to monitor grants, ensuring timely financial projections and reporting using WoN’stemplates and systems. Conduct monthly reviews of grant performance against targets (budget and programmatic goals). Maintain effective grant tracking systems, documentation, and compliance measures. Oversee the full grant lifecycle, including opening and close-out processes. Proposal Development & Reporting (30%) Lead and support the development of concept notes and proposals in coordination with program teams. Ensure compliance with WoN’sand donor regulations in all proposals and reports. Conduct first reviews of draft proposals (narrative and budget) before submission. Coordinate and review donor reports (narrative and financial) for accuracy and compliance. Maintain a grants and reporting tracker to ensure deadlines are met. Draft and review agreements (MOUs, contracts) in collaboration with relevant teams. Ensure timely submission of donor reports and modifications. Budget & Financial Oversight (10%) Support finance and program teams in budget development and donor reporting. Facilitate review of financial and programmatic reports before final submission. Data Management & Compliance (20%) Maintain and update due diligence records, grant registers, and partnership documents. Ensure proper archiving of grants, MOUs, and donor agreements. Keep an organized database of all active and closed awards for audit readiness. Qualifications &Experience University degree in International Development, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field relevant to humanitarian and development work. Minimum 3 years of experience in grants management, partnerships, or a similar role within an NGO/INGO, preferably with a focus on women’s rights, gender equality, or any of our core sectors. Proven experience working with institutional donors (e.g., UN, EU, USAID, foundations) and familiarity with funding mechanisms, compliance, and reporting. Strong understanding of partnership management, due diligence processes, and oversight. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with grants management software. Familiarity with donor reporting platforms and partnership-related due diligence tools. Fluent in English (excellent written and verbal skills). Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, building strong relationships with internal teams, donors, and local partners. Core Competencies: Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Position and Scope of Work The IT Specialist (Volunteer) will report directly to the Director of Women Now Tanzania and provide comprehensive technical support to ensure seamless operations. Key Roles and Responsibilities. Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot all organizational IT equipment, software, and systems across offices. Provide desktop, software, and peripheral support to staff, resolving issues promptly. Implement and maintain security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans for staff computers, servers, and databases. Serve as the primary administrator for the organization’s Hostinger dedicated web server, including: Database administration, optimization, and troubleshooting. Manage the organization’s network infrastructure Regular monitoring, updates, and patches to ensure security and performance. Oversee cloud-based tools (e.g., productivity suites, CRM) and ensure integration with existing systems. Train staff on effective use of digital collaboration platforms. Collaborate with the Director to evaluate, upgrade, and align digital systems with organizational goals. Advise on IT budgeting, procurement, and long-term planningfor sustainable growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT experience, including: WordPress web development, server administration (Hostinger preferred), and network management Experience working for Non- government organizations, or community- based organizations NGOs, preferably women-led organizations Proficiency in cybersecurity, database management, and cloud tools.
